Role Purpose Statement : The Communications position is responsible for implementing internal and external communication programs in China. As part of the communications team in Europe and Asia, the role will execute our integrated corporate communications program in China, including internal and external channels. He/she will be supporting and implementing effective communication initiatives and projects ensuring alignment with the Bunge culture, messages, brand, and business objectives. The Communications position will closely collaborate with the regional and global communications team, as well as with the leadership team and functions in China. With a hands-on approach, he/she will work to implement all the communication tactics and deliver communications that empower, engage, inform, and support business priorities. Main Accountabilities : ? Supports the development and implementation of communications strategies and plans to successfully communicate organizational initiatives both internally and externally in China and for the projects assigned. ? Works closely with the broader communications team to coordinate and support the implementation of global, regional or local communication programs and processes in China. ? Builds and maintains relationships with internal partners and stakeholders across all levels of the organization to gather the exchange of information, support internal communications and engagement while ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy and priorities and maximize communications opportunities. ? Leads and supervises brand and message application and alignment in the country. Supports activities that promote and strengthen company image and reputation (i.e.: trade fairs, sponsorships, participation of company executives in external events, etc) ? Develops quality written/visual engaging content for key internal channels and tools, including intranet articles, emails, videos, executive messages, briefing documents, announcements, presentations, talking points, newsletters, fact sheets, reports and scripts. ? Supervises, creates, and maintains communication materials and channels, including WeChat, to support Bunge communication efforts, internally and externally. Drafts and publishes posts, as well as monitors its performance and works in opportunities to improve. ? Monitors media activity, manages the media landscape in China, including building contacts to key media and journalists, identifying media opportunities, drafting press releases and in alignment with regional and global communications. ? Supports crisis and issues communication, in cooperation with China Corporate Affairs and in alignment with Global and regional crisis plans and procedures. ? Participates in key projects to support organizational change, proactively identifying and delivering communication opportunities. ? Creates and maintains materials to assist local managers in their community and industry affairs efforts and promote their contributions to appropriate channels. ? Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience : ? The candidate holds a Communications degree, and 7-10 years of experience. Master’s degree is a plus. ? Experience in a communications role within a global matrix organization, handling large, complex projects and programs. ? Experience in developing, implementing end-to-end delivery of communication strategies within a wide range of sectors/services. ? Chinese speaker with proven English Proficiency (near native level). Other languages are valued.
