Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material buyer role involves…
What a typical day looks like:
61 Reviews requisitions and MRP output.
61 PO release and maintain supplier confirmation into system. Expedites delivery of goods to users.
61 Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as availability and delivery schedule.
61 Schedule pull-in, push out and order cancellation based on MRP report and follow up supplier’s feedback,
61 maintain delivery Schedule in system.
61 Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.
61 Manages supplier to lead-time, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
61 Analyzes inventory levels. Prepares liability reports for excess and obsolete management.
61 May plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle. to support
61 production smooth run.
61 Makes tactical buying decisions. Executes corporate sourcing programs and purchasing high dollar parts.
61 Maintains procurement records, reports and metrics.
61 RTV execution and excess disposition.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
61 5 years direct materials buyer experience.
61 Experience in electronics materials in EMS
61 Have the basic knowledge of supply chain.
61 Good English in writing and speaking.
61 Able to work under pressure.
61 Be familiar with ERP/SAP system.
