We are seeking a?detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant?to join our global Shared Service Center and support the financial integrity of our entities in China. This role is responsible for accurate and timely general ledger accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes in a fast-paced automotive environment. The location of this role is in Beijing, China.
What you can look forward as a General Ledger Accountant?
● Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
● Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
● Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
● Perform account analysis and variance analysis to support financial reporting.
● Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations (IFRS).
● Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
● Collaborate with local Finance teams to ensure accurate financial data.
● Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
● Collaborate with the global SSC team to continuously improve GL processes and support automation initiatives.
Your Profile as a General Ledger Accountant:
● Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, in a shared service or multinational environment, in the auto parts or similar manufacturing business in China.
● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
● SAP, S4 Hana experience preferred. Skilled conduct of Microsoft Office Suites is a must.
● Strong communication skills in English and Chinese; additional languages are a plus, not mandatory.
● High attention to detail and accuracy.
