JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the testing and maintenance service team to complete the service demands by customers such as testing, various or professional maintenance, design, construction, renovation, etc. Lead the team to receive training in various area to become familiar with the system, policies and procedures and other aspects of Facilities Engineering. Primary focus is on testing, services and machines and asset performance and uptime.

JOB DUTIES:
This is a staff assignment involved in the improvement of the facility (utility, water, sewer, electrical, structural and hazardous material) and the coordination of the maintenance of various laboratory equipment. Assignments will vary based on experience and will work independently or as part of a team to resolve problems. This assignment will be geared to systems integration of laboratory equipment and the support services needed to maintain equipment and/or building operations.

Obtaining knowledge of craft machines and processes such as hydraulics equipment, thermal management system, liquid cooling equipment, motor emulator, oven, charge/discharge tester, temperature chamber and so on.

Conduct investigations to determine present and future space requirements, rearrangement and expansion needs. Determines utility and test needs and prepares detailed work order for installation by craft personnel. Coordinates receipt of equipment and installation schedules. Provide assistance to craft personnel on maintenance of machines. Analysis problems encountered and recommended design changes and rearrangement of support equipment to alleviate problems. Troubleshoot equipment and systems malfunctions and recommend corrective action.

Designs or assists with design of new equipment and/or systems installation.
Work with engineering team on tooling, process and quality problems. Acquires parts and documentation needed by craft personnel to debug new equipment or diagnose problems with existing equipment.

Background / Experience:
The education and experience requirements for this position are to meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Bachelors’ or 3-year Engineering Technology degree with 3 yrs relevant experience
2. No defined degree with 10yrs relevant experience
